General Description

A CAD Technician is responsible for providing drafting services in support of commercial, retail, municipal, and various other civil engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 2 year Associate Degree in Drafting Design
• 3+ years CAD experience in a Civil Engineering production environment (AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 or higher / AutoDesk Vault experience preferred)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 2021
• Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DC
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with respect to projects
• Adhere to BFA CAD Standards
• Ability to work overtime and travel as required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team player
• Field Tech experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Drafting for land development plans, zoning plans, concept plans, and construction documents
• Research and obtain standards/codes as required by clients and jurisdiction to accurately and efficiently develop above noted plans
• Accurately complete drawing/project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule
• Integration and understanding of multiple key factors should be considered during the course of design including:
  • BFA Drafting Standards
  • Municipal Regulations and Requirements
  • Client Design Criteria
